We wanted to visit other parts of the island so we rented a car for the day. Lungi and Nidra went out of their way to set us up with an appropriate car as well as giving us tips and directions. Enjoy!
Meeting Luigi was one of the highlights of our visit to Vulcano. He is more concerned about you having a good vacation than making a dollar. We wanted to get a small minicar for about 5 hours to do a quick tour of the island and spend some time at the black beach ( my wife could not walk the distance to the beach ). Luigi did not have one available for that day, so he let us have a larger car for the same rate - and gave us 5 hours for the price of 3. To top things off, when I returned the car, he invited me to sit with his wife and friend and try some homemade wine. In mixed Italian / English conversation centered on the many uses for the lemon, including adding it to your wine. Great people.
